Euan Macdonald
Position: Solicitor (Principal)
Euan provides advice on many aspects of the law which are relevant to a country practice including property law, wills and estates, and boundary/access disputes. He was made an Honorary Sheriff at Dunoon Sheriff Court in 2008. He has an extensive knowledge of mapping techniques which enables him to assist many clients in transferring their title deeds from the older ’Sasines’ system to the newer digitally mapped system.
Shona Ritchie
Position: Accredited Paralegal
Shona first qualified as a paralegal in 1994 and joined Stewart & Bennett in 1999. She holds a Conveyancing Paralegal qualification. Again, her experience allows her to take instructions direct from clients and to generate the required documents in order to carry out their purchase or sale.
Gordon Miller
Position: Office Manager & Cashier
Gordon is Cashier and Office Manager. He joined Stewart & Bennett in 2014 after working at senior level in one of the major banks. He is fully qualified under the SOLAS scheme to carry out legal accounts-related work and in addition he supervises the smooth running of the firm’s Scottish Building Society agency.
Alison Barron
Position: Accredited Paralegal
Alison joined Stewart & Bennett in 1992 and has been a fully qualified Executry Paralegal since 1996. She handles a large caseload relating to the winding up of estates. She has responsibility for a large part of the day to day running of the work in hand and works closely with the solicitors in the firm to meet the short timescales set by Stewart & Bennett.
Susan Irwin
Position: Estate Agency Manager
Susan joined in December 2017 as Estate Agency Manager with more than 18 years’ experience in sales and marketing activities. Her dynamic and outgoing personality helps bring about a stress-free sale process for all clients. She organises viewings, home reports and property valuations and liaises with the Stewart & Bennett Legal Team to ensure conveyancing activities are seamlessly progressed.
Kirsty Dow
Position: Paralegal
Kirsty joined in 2019 as a legal secretary and rapidly progressed towards her qualification as a Paralegal, assessed by Strathclyde University.
